Length - Primary 2

In the topic on length (in primary 2), students learn that length can be measured in centimetres and metres, as well as learn how to measure using a ruler.

This is an extension to what's learnt in length in primary 1. In primary one topic on length, they learn to measure length relatively (e.g. the length of the phone is equal to 5 paper clips). This gives them a concept of how to measure things. But, in the real world, we use a common unit of measurement. In many parts of the world, we use the metric units. Hence, centimetres and metres are common units used to measure length.
