Word Problems - Primary 2

Up till this point, students have always been solving 1- step word problems to arrive at the final solution. In this chapter on Word problems, students are expected to solve a 2- part or 2- step word problems. This is the start to more complex word problems in the Singapore Maths.

If you have heard about Singapore Maths, you'll have heard about the drawing of model. With a single step word problems, there's little need for drawing models. But as word problems get more complex, it's easier to draw the information presented in the question in models, to solve them.

Hence, apart from learning how to solve 2- step or 2- part word problems in this chapter, students are also taught how to draw models.
