How to count money in dollar and cents
Given an amount of dollar notes and coins, your child should be able to count how much money there is altogether.
How to convert money
In primary 2, students learn to convert money from dollars to cents and vice versa.
For example, they learn that 100 cents is equal to a dollar.
Comparing amount of money
Students learn to order and compare amounts of money.
For instance, given $3.50 and $4.90, they are able to tell that $4.90 is more than $3.50.
